Title: God’s name is I AM THAT I AM.

( Exodus 3:13-17) Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” God said to Moses, “I am who I am.This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob has sent me to you.’ “This is my name forever, the name you shall call me

from generation to generation.

“Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob appeared to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt. And I have promised to bring you up out of your misery in Egypt into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—a land flowing with milk and honey.’

When Moses heard from God , for him to let the people of Isreal to know that God has heard their cry. God told Moses to go and meet Pharaoh to let the Israelites go to the promised land. There were many different kinds of Gods in Egypt in those days, at this point Moses wasn’t sure which god that was speaking to him. He tried to verify from God to be sure  which god that was sending him to the Israelites. God told Moses tell them if they ask you tell them that “I Am WHO I AM , this is what you have to say to the people of Isreal. “I AM  has sent you”.

Moses wanted to even know God’s name himself so that he will know what to tell them. I AM is a name that signifies God eternal power and supernatural being. He has no beginning and has no ending. God is sovereign, His character cannot be fathomed, including His existence. The same God who appeared to Moses thousand years ago in a burning bush, is the same God we are talking about here. Everything in the world can change, but God never changes. His power remain the same, His age remain the same, Everything about Him remains the same. That is why even the Bible we Read never changes, we change, time and season change but God remains the same. (Hebrews 13:8) Jesus is the same yesterday and today  and forever.

He is the same God who led the Israelites from Egypt to the promised land. Our God is the only true God. Unchangeable, unquestionable, undoubtable, unimaginable, the Alpha and Omega. I AM THAT I AM. What He Did years ago, He can still do today. Are you ready to allow Him into your life today? That your challenges that have lasted a long time, in that prison where you are now, that sickness, that hardship, that thing that looks impossible before man, is possible for Him. Are you ready to make a move now to go to the promised land? The I am what  I am is ready to bring you out of that stagnant position you have been staying and crying. He said He has heard your  cry.

(Exodus 14:13) Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid . Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you

today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord is willing and ready to give you a new hope. He will part your Red Sea and you will wail no more. Are you ready? Believe in His name and His power . The eternal Rock of ages has never changed and will never change. Come to Him today and He will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28).

Prayers: Eternal Rock of Ages, merciful father. I am what I am , please show up in the Midst of all my troubles. Deliver me oh Lord from the hands of my enemies. Send down your Axe of fire, to burn down everything that is raising their ugly head in my life. I believe in your power that never changes. Take all the praises my God in Jesus mighty name.
