Title: Present Suffering and the future Glory.

( Romans 8: 18-28) I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Everyone who is identified with Jesus as heirs of God comes with a price. Paul talked about the sufferings that children of God must face. The moment you have given your life to Christ, you have to be ready to carry the cross and it is not going to be very easy to carry. There is going to be different kinds of persecutions from different angles. All over the planet, Christians face all kinds of persecutions, like Christ and the early disciples, persecution, trials and tribulations is ongoing, and will continue till Christ returns. For us to live as Christ lived  , and do the work of Christ, like serving and leading people to Christ have price tag that we must pay to accomplish our purpose and goal.

There is no suffering that we have to suffer, that will be compared to the price Jesus paid for me and you on the cross for our salvation. Sin has caused the creation to deviate from its original purpose, that is why the whole world is subject to suffering, corruption, sickness and death. There is no other way to liberate from this earthly suffering than to continue to look unto the cross.

We have to take the world as it is, looking unto Jesus our role model. He suffered for us and we have  to humbly and happily accept the suffering. We look forward to the new heaven and the new earth which Christ promised those who trust in Him. We are waiting for the God’s order which is going to free the people of God from all evil. Whatever we see now , the suffering is temporary, let us not allow what we see here to deny us the hope of God’s glory. Let us persevere in our worship with God, not allowing anything on earth to cause us the things God has prepared for those who believe in Him. ( 1 Corinthians 2:9) “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man. The things which God has prepared for those who love Him”. Everything here, whatever you are going through, let it be known to you that  it is temporary, even if you are a millionaire here, you are going to enjoy it only for a while, even if you are going through untold hardship, sickness or anything, it is for a moment. Do not allow anything whatsoever to make you lose your hope of glory. Let us keep looking unto God the author and finisher of our faith .

Prayers: Good Lord,  please keep me strong till the end in Jesus name I prayer. Help me Lord to be an over comer in Jesus name. Help me not to allow anything of this word to cause me to miss heaven in Jesus name . Amen
