Title: Sin separates us from God

(Isaiah 59:1-16) Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save,

nor his ear too dull to hear.But your iniquities have separated

you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you,

so that he will not hear. For your hands are stained with blood,

your fingers with guilt. Your lips have spoken falsely, and your tongue mutters wicked things.No one calls for justice;

no one pleads a case with integrity. They rely on empty arguments, they utter lies;

they conceive trouble and give birth to evil. They hatch the eggs of vipers and spin a spider’s web.

Whoever eats their eggs will die,

and when one is broken, an adder is hatched. Their cobwebs are useless for clothing; they cannot cover themselves with what they make . Their deeds are evil deeds,

and acts of violence are in their hands. Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes;

acts of violence mark their ways.The way of peace they do not know; there is no justice in their paths. They have turned them into crooked roads; no one who walks along them will know peace.So justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us.

We look for light, but all is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in deep shadows. Like the blind we grope along the wall,

feeling our way like people without eyes. At midday we stumble as if it were twilight;

among the strong, we are like the dead. We all growl like bears;

we moan mournfully like doves.

We look for justice, but find none;

for deliverance, but it is far away.

For our offenses are many in your sight, and our sins testify against us.Our offenses are ever with us, and we acknowledge our iniquities: rebellion and treachery against turning our backs on  our God, inciting revolt and oppression, uttering lies our hearts have conceived. So justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter. Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey. The Lord looked and was displeased that there was no justice. He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm achieved salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him.

God is holy and righteous. He created us in His image, He created us to be like Him and act like Him. His purpose in creation was for the man He created to know Him and commune with Him. The devil came and manipulated things and cause the man to get disconnected from the plan of God by luring man into sin. There is no sin in the life  of God. Everything about Him is holiness, righteousness. God cannot cherish sin at all. It is only sin that makes God to stay far from us. When we are living in sin we look dirty before God and we stink in His nostrils. Just like when your house is dirty and smelling,you don’t feel comfortable living in that dirty house until you get it cleaned. That is how we are before God when we are living in sin.

Sin makes Him offended, the origin of sin is from devil, he is the only one who commit sin and make people to live in sin. When we live in sin, we become enemies of God , He does not come near at all. God takes sin seriously, and the worst part of it is that,  no sin is small before God. No sin is bigger or smaller, when we harbor hatred in our lives,living with un forgiveness it is as big as someone who committed murder. Sin cuts people off from God, it creates a barrier between us and God. Every sin no matter how great or how small, will make God to hide His face from us. But the goodness news is that , Jesus Christ shedded His blood on the Calvary tree and offered once and for all sacrifice for the remission of our sins.

If we give our lives to Jesus, His blood will wipe out our sins completely, no matter how great or small, the Bible says God will completely forgive and open a new page for you and me. (2 Corinthians5:17)  We will no longer be separated from Him, He will not hide His face from us anymore. Unfortunately though, if anyone dies without their sins forgiven them. that is dying without Christ, they will remain forever separated from God in eternity, they will be joining with devil in hell. God wants everyone to live with Him forever, but when sin creates a barrier, those people will not enter into rest in the holy presence of our God. Have you tried to confess your sins to God today? Now that Christ is still inviting us to come to Him and surrender our lives to Him, why not make haste now , we don’t know what will happen tomorrow. (Isaiah 55:6) Seek the Lord while He May be found; call on Him now while He is near. There is no other time to seek the salvation of our souls than now. Have you found Jesus? If Christ should come today,  are you sure you are going to spend eternity with him in heaven? Why not make peace with Him today and avoid regret in hell.

( 2 Corinthians 6:2) For He says, “ In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you .” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day if salvation. You have no reason to allow sin to separate you from our holy God. He sent  Christ for us to make peace with Him through Christ. (Romans 3:23) For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Beloved, please use this opportunity and make your relationship with Christ  right today,  to avoid eternal separation from God. There is life after death, don’t wait until late. Where will you spend eternity? Decide today and Jesus is ready to welcome you into His kingdom. God bless you.

Prayers: God of heaven and earth , please Lord I have sinned against you, i ask you to forgive me and cleanse me in the blood of Jesus. Help me oh Lord not to be separated from you in Jesus name. I want to come to your Kingdom, please help me and make me worthy to be your child, help me oh Lord to be found faithful before your  holy presence in Jesus name.
