Title: Jesus Teaches about Anger

( Matthew 5:21-26) You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.  “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.  “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.

Jesus mentioned that He did not come to abolish the original laws which God  gave to the children of Isreal through Moses , but to solidify it. Moses said “ You shall not murder”  (Exodus 20:13). Anyone who murders will be subject to judgement’. He stated that anyone who is angry with brother or sister will be subject to judgement. Anyone who says to a brother or sister   ‘ Raca’ is answerable to the court, and anyone who says you fool!’ Will be in danger of hell fire.

Raca in British English means worthless or empty. The Bible says if we call anyone  Raca or fool, we are in danger of hell fire. All these are common names we call people when we get angry. When we are angry against our brother or sister and refuse to forgive them, the Bible says we are murderers . The Bible encourages us to refrain from unforgiving spirit. It is a serious issue in the sight of God when we harbor hatred against our neighbors. The Bible says if you are not forgiving your brother, don’t give any offering to God until you settle with your brother.

No murderer will inherit the Kingdom of God. (Revelation 21:8) But the Cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. Beloved, are you going to let anger and unforgiving spirit steal your salvation? (Ephesians 4:26) Be ye angry, and sin not: Let not the sun go down upon your wrath. It is ok to get angry, but do not allow yourself to commit sin while you are angry. Do not let the sun go down on your anger. Don’t continue to remain angry for days, weeks, months or years. Forgive others their trespasses so that your Heavenly Father can also forgive you. Please call that person you are angry with today and make peace with him or her so that your prayers and offerings will be accepted unto our good Lord. Thanks. God bless you as you get rid of all those anger out of your heart in Jesus mighty name.

Prayers: Jesus please forgive me all my trespasses as I have forgiven those who trespassed against me. Please give me the anointing of the Holy Spirit to guide my paths in Jesus name.
