Title. God is good to Us
( Psalm 103:1-15) Praise the Lord,my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord,my soul, and forget not all his benefits who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and
compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord works
righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel: The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in loveHe will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flowering of the field;.
The Lord is good to His children. God is not like man who may be good in the morning but not in the afternoon, or good today but gets bad tomorrow. God is good all year round , no matter the circumstances, He still shows His goodness. He does not treat us as our sins deserves. The Lord is compassionate and gracious , slow to anger , abounding in love. He does not harbor anger for long .
The psalmist said praise the Lord my soul; all my inmost being praise His holy name. He went on and says praise the Lord my soul and forget not all His benefits. Beloved, praise the Lord with all your mind and all your soul and forget not His benefits. This is important, let us not forget all the Lord’s benefits. He forgives your sins, He provides roof over your head, He sent His only begotten son Jesus, to die for you, He provides protections, He shows you favor, His compassion is renewed every, and it endures forever. The benefits we derive from following God cannot be counted . He has been good all the time.
(Vs 17) But from everlasting to everlasting, the Lord’s love is with those who fear Him, and with His children’s children. The love of God for mankind has no limit. David treasured the love of God and said praise the Lord oh! My Soul, all my inmost being praise His holy name. Beloved, how are you appreciating the love of God in your life?. Remember all His benefits. From January to today , He has showed you favor. That sickness that came to you and you took that medicine and got better, remember those who got that kind of sickness and took the same medication and died. Remember that there are some people who are on the street begging for money, but you are not one of them. Many people died of Corvid 19 but you are not one of them. Many cannot use the natural oxygen, some people have some of their body system damaged but you are not one of them. Remember all the Lord’s benefit.
Glorify God with all your heart. Do not forget His benefit. Appreciate God and what He is doing for you. Give Him your time, serve Him with your talent, serve Him with your money, service Him with the blessings He has given you. Now that you are young do not use what God has blessed you with to serve the devil. Let whatever you are doing give God glory. Do not follow the crowd. Think of the things that will please the Lord, and not things that will not glorify God. God loves you and wants you to be useful for Him. Every moment He has you and your interest in His mind. He gave His only begotten son for you and me. What have you done for Him? Let us show God that we appreciate what He has done for us on the cross. He is worthy of our praises and thanksgiving.
Prayers. Thank you Jesus for all your goodness and mercies. Thank you for the great sacrifice you made on the cross of Calvary for my life. Help me Lord to continue to give you my heart of worship. Be thou exalted forever in Jesus mighty name.
