Title: Have faith in God

( Mark 11:12-14,20-25) The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to find out if it had any fruit. When He reaches it, He found nothing but leaves, because it was not season for figs. Then He said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.”And His disciples heard Him say it. (Vs 20-25) In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots, Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!,” “Have faith in God “, Jesus answered. Truely  I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, “Go , throw yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

Jesus Christ looked at this fig tree that was looking good and healthy with leafs but the tree did not produce any fruits. Jesus shows His anger on religious life with nothing to show for it. If we claim to have faith in God without putting it to work we are like that barren fig tree . When we have a strong faith in God we will fulfill our potentials. There is no need to answer Christians but we are not useful for the Kingdom of God.

Jesus is expecting us to bear fruits for His kingdom, when we fail,  He gets disappointed. Let us pray today for the grace to bear fruit for God’s Kingdom in Jesus name.

Jesus placed a curse on that fig tree and the tree withered. As followers of Christ we need that power from God to do exploit. The kind of prayer that moves mountains is prayer for the fruitfulness of the kingdom of God. It is not possible to remove a mountain and cast it into the sea, Jesus used this illustration to make us understand that if we have faith , in His name impossibility can be made possible.

God can answer prayers but we have to meet the requirements before He can answer. The Bible says not all that call me  Lord, Lord will enter into the Kingdom of God. He will answer when you  call not as a result of your attitude, but there are conditions that we have to meet, viz, we have to know Jesus as our personal Lord and savior, we must not harbor hatred against  anyone, we must not be praying for selfish reasons, every prayer must be made to glorify God . We must not be coming to God only when we are in need of something . These and other criteria we have to meet before  we can  make our request know to our Heavenly Father, then He will hear us. May God help us to follow the principles of the word of God so that we can be well connected to our father in heaven in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Prayer: Please God help us to follow your footsteps in Jesus name. Please Lord lead us to the path of righteousness, and to have the  faith that moves mountains in Jesus name. Grant us the mercy to know you as our personal Lord and savior Jesus oh Lord  in Jesus name. Amen.
