Title: Preparing For Jesus Coming

(Luke 12:1-7) Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: “Be on your guard against the yeast of the

Pharisees, which is

hypocrisy.2 There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 3 What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. 4 “I tell you, my friends,do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. 5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered.Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

As Jesus watched the huge crowds waiting to hear Him, He warned His disciples against hypocrisy, that is trying to appear holy when one’s heart is far from God. The Pharisees could not keep their attitudes hidden forever. Their selfishness would act like yeast, contaminating themselves and those they led. Soon their ungodly attitudes would rise to the point where everyone could see them for what they really were. Power hungry impostors, not devoted and compassionate religious leaders. It is easy for us to hear about the behaviors and judge them, but each of us has a little Pharisee inside us, directly or indirectly. We appear religious most  of the time but our hearts  are far from God.

We are acting hypocritical when we know the truth about the word of God but refuse to live by the word of God we hear. Most of us think we are doing the right thing but we are not living according to the principles of the word of God. (2 Timothy 3:1-5). Having a firm of godliness but denying its power.Have nothing to do with such people.

Many non-Christians use the supposed ( or real hypocrisy of Christians as an excuse to stay away from God and church. Look carefully at your life as a Christian. You are not perfect, therefore, sometimes one of your actions or behaviors might provide the ammunition for someone to label you a hypocrite. However, you must discern your own heart. Consider the signs of hypocrisy as outlined in the bible. Where do you see yourself? If you find any sign of hypocrisy in your life, ask God to come into your life and forgive you, also to renew you and transform you to be a better Christan. The Bible says not everyone that says Lord , Lord will enter into the kingdom of God. This is a time to examine our lives. The word of God is here as a mirror which we can use and see through our lives. Let us persevere in our race for we don’t know the hour when Christ shall return. Whoever is not against God is with God. (Luke 9:50) ( Matthew 7:21) .

Prayers: God help me to live a life that is pleasing to you in Jesus name. Please Lord remove every hypocrisy from my life in Jesus name. When the trumpet shall sound help me to be among those who will hear the trumpet and rapture in Jesus name. Help me Lord to be a blessing to the world in Jesus name. Amen.
