Title: Ask, Seek, knock
(Matthew 7:7-11) 7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you,for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
There is power in prayers. Prayer is the only way we can communicate our needs to our Almighty God. God knows everything we need but He wants us to bring our needs to Him in prayers. God wants us to draw closer to Him. He is always longing to speak to us and for us to keep coming closer to Him. It is not hard for God to give us everything we need without asking Him for it. But if He keeps providing everything we need without our asking for it, we will not appreciate Him enough, we will not come closer to Him and we will not value what He is doing for us.
Jesus tells us to persist in prayers. We are always giving up after short prayers without results. We don’t have patience to endure long hours of prayers or praying more often. Communicating with God in prayers demands faith, focus and following through. It is through prayers that we can establish a strong relationship with God. Going to Him in prayers will cause us to know Him deeper and vice versa.
Jesus has assured us that we will be rewarded as we develop a deep relationship with Him. Don’t give up in your efforts to seek God. Continue to seek Him in prayers . The more we talk to Him in prayers, the more we will recognize His voice when He speaks to us. He says in His words, seek me and you will find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13) Let us pray fervently and consistently and God has promised to answer. Let us develop the attitude of prayers with thanksgiving and we will see the hand of God changing our challenges to testimonies in Jesus name.
Prayers: Father, help me to trust in your power in Jesus name. Please Lord ignite my prayer alter in Jesus name. Revive my prayer life, help me to remain faithful before you in Jesus name. Whenever I call you , please answer me oh Lord, let all my challenges turn to testimonies in Jesus name.
